FAQs
1. Does my insurance cover wound care? Our services are covered by most Medicare and Commercial Insurance. We will call and verify your coverage for you and review any possible out-of-pocket costs prior to your visit.
2. Does it hurt? No, instead of the usual painful debridement procedure where the wound is thoroughly cleaned, we use a no touch ultrasonic mist.
3. Will I ever have to come into the office? No, we provide mobile care! We will come to you in most areas of Oakland County, Genese County, and Lapeer County in Michigan.
4. What treatments do you provide? · We treat chronic wounds, diabetic ulcers, surgical incisions, venous stasis ulcers, leg ulcers and complex surgical wounds. · We debride (clean) the wound and bandage it to prevent infection. · For wounds that have not healed within 30 days, additional care is typically required such as skin substitute grafting. Those treatment options will be reviewed with you by one of our providers if it becomes necessary.
5. What types of Providers will come to my house? Medical Doctors and/or Nurse Practitioners
6. Do you offer Telehealth? We do! Our initial visit is always in-person, so your wound is thoroughly examined, and the proper treatment plan is implemented. If you have questions or concerns between in-person visits, a virtual visit can be scheduled.
7. How do I make an appointment? You, your spouse, friend or even your current medical facility may call us at (248) 228-0541 to initiate your care.
8. Can you treat me if I am currently in a rehab facility, nursing home or hospice? Yes! Many of our patients are residents of care facilities. We have a relationship with most of these facilities, who prefer we treat their patients rather than send them to the ER or admit them back into the hospital.
